I think pitting a mom against her baby is incredible barbaric and that is what contraception and abortion do.
Dr. John Bruchalski, MD
Who Is Dr. John Bruchalski?
Dr. John Bruchalski grew up in northern New Jersey. After attending a Salesian High School and a Jesuit college, he attended the University of South Alabama, College of Medicine, where he received his MD degree in 1987. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical Center and the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Virginia in 1991, and received his board certification in 1993.
Dr. Bruchalski founded the Tepeyac Family Center in Fairfax, Virginia in 1994, with the mission of establishing an obstetrical and gynecological facility that combines the best of modern medicine with the healing presence of Jesus Christ—providing affordable healthcare to women (in particular, those with crisis pregnancies). In 2000, he founded Divine Mercy Care, a non-profit organization dedicated to performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He is currently the Chairman of its Board of Directors. In 2005, Tepeyac Family Center became a part of Divine Mercy Care and currently operates as the first Catholic health care facility in the Diocese of Arlington.
He has been a part of numerous videos concerning pro-life issues and the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Dr. Bruchalski has been married to his wife, Carolyn, since 1991 and is the father of two boys. They live in Virginia.
The Pro Life Movement
Happy New Year 2022. This year we’re beginning with a powerful episode on the Pro-life Movement and Abortion. I first read about Dr. Bruchalski three months ago. I read his conversion story online and was so struck by how God uses everyone in His kingdom. I invited him to talk about the Pro-life Movement and his staff at Tepeyac were so helpful. Kathryn Doherty organized a quick appointment and we’re able to record.
In this episode, Dr. John Bruchalski, MD, FACOG talks about abortion and the Pro-life Movement. He explains:
-What is the Pro-Life Movement?
-What really happens in an abortion? In contraception? How does this all contribute to the death of a human being?
-What to say to the Catholics who claim to be a) pro-choice b) claimants that life begins nowhere at fertilization c) claimants who say this is a “life saving” procedure?
-How can doctors like us fight the new bills being tabled by the government, say no, not give in to peer pressure, face the backlash and take a stand?
-How do you deal with the aftermath of past actions?
-What can ordinary people do to help with this movement?
What Can We Do?
Dr. Bruchalski doesn’t just talk. He has done exactly what he preaches, which is to reach out to all the women in his state. He’s also training doctors, nurses, and medical staff from across the country who want to do what’s best for their female patients in keeping with Catholic teaching. It’s all science based but life affirming medicine.
Three steps that he suggests for all of us: 1. Pray. 2. Help Pro-Life Organizations 3. Look for opportunities in your own community.
I used to volunteer with the Sisters of Life in NY and if you’re in that area, these nuns are very focused on Pro-Life movement and the mothers. So check them out.
You can also reach out to Dr. Burchalski and see how Divine Mercy Care can come to your area and help.
I also love how Dr. Bruchalski says we need to demand better. Women need to demand better from their doctors, their partners and society in general not for themselves but their babies too instead of being bullied by peers and medics. He suggested reading Everything Below The Waist.
Do you have a special Pro-Live Movement Initiative in your area? How do you help them?
